A Message to our Community

As streets swell like a rising river, we pause to recognize the cries for justice flooding the nation in response to the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and so many others.

Wild Homesteading is about cultivating abundance for people, plants and animals. And there can be no abundant future when people of color are literally fighting for their lives.

We want to heal our relationship with the land. But we live in a country where black and brown people were removed from their ancestral homelands in order to provide free land and labor to whites—part of a legacy of violence and deprivation that persists to this day.

Black lives matter. We support the fight to end systemic racism and police brutality.

At this crucial time, it is essential for all of us to listen, to learn, and to act.

(If you are white and want to support this struggle, here are some ways to get started.)

In Solidarity,

Daron and Michaela
